Mountain
View opened its door in 1985. Best
care to the elderly was the mission. When
family started to compare our care of their loved
ones with Alzheimer’s at Mountain View with large
assisted living, nursing home or hospital, we
felt we are really making difference in residents
and families lives. We learned about the
disease from attending seminars but best we learned
by taking care of Alzheimer’s patients at home. Our
caregivers used to say that we know more about
the disease than the speakers do. And our caregivers
really understand the disease and provide compassionate
care.
Mountain View Cottages I is a residential home for six elderly residents. It provides comfort and security of home, companionship with peers and love from caring staff. Having a small cohesive group in the home environment encourages residents to socialize and participate in the various stimulating activities of daily living. Well-furnished private rooms meet individual needs. Most of the time within two - three weeks resident feels at home and says this is my home. |
